Subjects Offered

In MMEHS, students have a wide range of accredited subjects to offer at both the junior and senior secondary levels.

The subjects for the junior secondary level are: Mathematics, English Language, Basic Sciences, Basic Technology, Creative and Cultural Arts, Civic Education, Social Studies, Nigerian Language (Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba), Islamic Studies, Christian Religious Education, Home Economics, Business Studies, Agricultural Science, Physical and Health Education, French and Computer Studies.

A student in junior secondary three is expected to offer eleven of these subjects in Junior NECO.

The subjects for the senior secondary level are: Mathematics, English Language, Nigerian Language (Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba), Computer Studies, Further Mathematics, Biology, Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Government, History, Christian Religious Education, Accounts, Commerce, Foods & Nutrition, Home Management, Clothing & Textile, Building Technology, Applied Electricity, Technical Drawing, Health Education, French, Music, Visual Arts, Typing & Shorthand, Geography, Literature-in-English,

Senior Secondary Students are grouped into Sciences, Arts and Vocational/Technical. Each student in the senior secondary three is expected to offer nine subjects in the WASSCE and Senior NECO.

Besides WASSCE and NECO, MMEHS students are also exposed to SAT, TOEFL, JAMB and IGCSE. The school does not encourage parents to remove their children from the school in order to write the WAEC/NECO November/December GCE.
