About Us - Philosophy

The concept of Mea Mater Elizabeth High School is based on the philosophy of man is the architect of his own fortune and that every man has something tangible to give, if provided the opportunity. That is, every individual can excel if properly nurtured, exposed and directed in facilitating environment. Man is a dynamic process that is always changing. He is a being in existence and not a being in essence; he is totally free and responsible for his acts and actions. Man is searching, thinking and feeling. He is growing and choosing goals according to his abilities.

Adequate opportunities are provided for each student to believe in himself and his potentialities. There is focussed and sustained interaction between the school and the home in a way that when decisions are taken on the direction that a child would follow, it would earn parental concurrence. A lot of emphasis is placed on extra curricular activities, dignity of labour, citizenship and moral education.
